Run the county like a business

Public money isn't abstract. It comes from people who earned it, from your paycheck, your property tax bill, your business. Every dollar that passes through county government deserves the same scrutiny you'd give your own money.

As a business owner, I've run lean. I've had to justify every expense. I've had to say no when the numbers didn't work, and yes when the return was real. I intend to bring that standard to every line item in the county budget, and I'll publish the reasoning, not just the result.
